Hello,
i've bought an 8fun kit (with rack mounted battery) and i'll be fitting it this weekend at some point, and i was wondering if anyone had any tips and advice? Also any tips in general with being a new ebiker regarding breaking it/conditioning it or just general advice?

Thanks

Dear Blink

I bought a 8Fun kit with a bottle battery.
I have been fiddling with bikes for years.
If you have not got the tools required and experience the instructions you get are not clear.
For example the pedelec sensor assembly would not fit any of the bikes I have without some modifiction. I ended up boring the centre out of the pedelec ring(its plastic so no big deal) and bonding it to the crank. The instructions do not make it clear that you have to remove the bottom bracket cup, its easy enough if you have the correct tool.
Saying all that it took a few hours and so far I am having a lot of enjoyment from it.

What is your donor bike?
It depends on the donor bike. If you are in doubt post here and I am sure you will get some help. There are a number of posts showing how people have fitted the kit

best regards
paul
