Focus Jarifa Xion Battery

Just had my Focus in for a service because I kept getting the CA indicator on my computer. The guy I took it to managed to do an update on both the computer and the battery and the diagnostic said both were fine however he found the battery discharged overnight. I took it back today and again the battery had discharged and I cannot get it to charge at all now. I'm thinking of buying a new battery but at £600 a pop without knowing for definite this will cure the problem I wondered if anyone has come across this type of problem before.

I bought the bike second hand and I didn't ask enough questions about it.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

The battery used in that model was also employed in the Kalkhoff Pro-Connect models with the Xion motor.

I know there were issues with some early batteries but the importer, '50cycles' was pretty good about replacing faulty batteries under warranty. I experienced such a failure and have never had any issues with the replacement. The software update at the same time transformed the performance from 'pretty good' to 'very good'!

It might be worth speaking to the guys at '50cycles' before splashing out loads of money.
