Iv just bought a FreeGo Eagle electric mountain bike and I am very pleased up to now.
Im in the process of disharging the battery to condition it.
(A long process)
The battery is the 16AH (17AH on test apparently)
And gave me about 25-28miles throttle only.
I do weigh 16st(102 kgs) so Im just over max weight.
I bought this bike for motorised cheap(ish) transport on losing my licence and not for exercise.
So throttle only is a must and the big battery to match.
I dont have a speedo or mileometre so its a bit of guess work but I believe it managers about 12mph on throttle.
Iv learnt to help the battery and motor, its best to use peddle assist on hills and when starting from a stand still.(It causes strain to both otherwise. It will start quickly from a standstill on throttle only)
The peddling involved wouldnt and hasent raised a bead of sweat(on max assist)
Looks wise the bike is eye catching and it has recieved genuine compliments.
The plastic chain guard may aswell of been made from paper as it broke the first time my heal touched it.(chinese build quality)
But everything seems to work well at the minute.
Its comfortable and better than walking or peddling.
