Is the fuse between the battery and controller (normal) or between the controller and motor (not normal)?

Do you have a meter to measure the current?

How much throttle do you need to apply before the fuse blows?

Hi. John, the fuse is between battery & controller.the fuse blows straight away when you twist the throttle. john
Perhaps your controller is not limiting current enough. Do you know what the controller model is and what the current limit is?

Just an idea , but maybe your getting current flow thro the chain where as you wouldn't have with a belt , try removing the chain and then see if the fuse still blows , either that or you have a cable that's shorting when you place the bike on the ground .

Hi.The controller is a 4QD Uni 24/8 OUTPUT CURRENT 115 AMPS. It`s only blowing fuses when loaded.John
Sounds like the controller is pulling more amps than your fuse can take in that case. Mind you, you shouldn't need 30 amps to get the bike going.

Is the throttle working correctly? Can you vary the speed ok?

Have you tried lowering the wheel to the ground slowly or applying the brakes to see when the fuse blows?
