gopub2pub - free beer!

One of my local pub2pub rides is the "horn2horn" which is from The French Horn in Alton to The Horns in Crondall, Nr. Fleet. As with all my rides I am the only cyclist doing them! ... which is fine. The pubs are always happy to see me regardless of the success of my campaign. I did, however, suggest to the landlord of The Horns that he may like to offer an incentive to help promote the "event". So, it is will great pleasure that I can announce that "horn2horn" cyclists arriving at The Horns, Crondall will be able to claim a FREE 1/2 PINT of a beer.

Both pubs are members of CycleCharge.

Reluctant as I am to forego free beer, at over 200 miles each way, from my home to Crondall, much as I like cycling and beer, I couldn't possibly attempt it for less than a pint.
...I do however wish you the best of luck.

The route planning is proving a challenge. Its very tempting simply to make a bee line to the pub. I'm noting places of interest like churches, ponds and .. oh yeah .. other pubs .. (although yesterday while doing the "bell2bell" between The Eight Bells in Alton and the The Blue Bell in Liss I attempted to stop at the Red Lion in Oakhanger and was turned away although I was offered some water for my bottle! Some people would be put off but I'll go back another time and find out what was going on. I suspect it was a wedding lock in or something ..
