I needed more range for my commute (round trip of 35miles), so have taken the plunge and bought a new wisper.
As you may remember, I had bought a second hand one and had a lot of problems with the electrics, I eventually got it sorted, but it was only a 8ah battery, at over 3500 for 14ah, I decided to sell it and buy a new one.
Anyway, only had a very quick ride on it as need to give it the full 12hrs charge, but I have a few questions:
- Does it always function in pedelec mode? Is there a way of switching to pure power i.e. twist and go only? I thought I kept twisting the throttle by accident and then realised it was whenever I pedalled..
- It didn't come with a cycle computer, is that the case with the 2009 model?
- No pump, although I saw the other thread, although not sure what final position is.
- The gears didn't always select properly, I wonder if this is an adjustment issue
I only went about 50 yards down the road and back as was worried about the first charge, so didn't get much chance to have a play with it, I will go back to Stuart at Electric Bike World where I bought it from who seems like a really nice guy, but just wondered if anyone else had experienced similar.
My general impression of the bike is very good, seems to have nice quality components, looks great and the suspension was nice and soft. The big thing for me is the range though, for the trip to work.
Thanks,
Paul
