Hello all. My name's Abu and I'm from West Yorkshire (Dewsbury). I have just taken the plunge and bought an ebike - a Coyote Connect Folding Ebike from Halfords. The main reason was that it was on the CycleWork Scheme. I am intending to use it for commuting. Due to the shifts I work, public transport is out on 50% of the shifts as there is no bus/train when I finish, and now there is no "free" parking. I plan to put the bike in the car, travel to work and park about 5 miles away (on street, free parking), get the ebike out and cycle in.
First impressions, its a hefty big bike, even when folded. My Citroen C1 is too small - I have to fold the rear seat down so the bike can be laid down on it. I haven't been to work on it yet, but just done small 2 mile run on it, and it seems practical. I'm 5'6" and weigh 10 stones so its hard work lifting it in and out, but the bike should be able to carry me. That's it for now.
