Finding my (electric) wheels

Hi All,

I am trying to find the manufacturer (and instructions or wiring diag) of the controller that is on my electric cargo bike. It says S800 on it and has three power output levels, a light on off switch and an power on off switch.

I want to fit lights and use the light on off switch (this currently doesn't do anything yet - there is a rear light on the battery but this is constantly on when the main battery power switch is on and doesn't respond to the controller on off switch)

So what I am really looking to understand is;

  • who makes this S800 controller and is there any documentation on it available? Anyone know where to buy them from directly?
  • wiring diagram for S800 - are these available?
  • identify battery manufacturer - surely it must be possible to do this but I am really struggling as all it has on it is a barcode!?
  • in the electric system, as a whole, is there a busbar / where is the best point to wire in add additional 36V loads? eg indicators, radio?

Any help greatly appreciated!beach 111.jpgbeach 116.jpgbeach 121.jpgbeach 122.jpg

The Panel is a standard King Meter one, so the controller will be pretty standard too. If you can get a photo of it that shows the wires and connectors to it, we should be able to decode the wiring for you. When you press the lights button on the panel, it acyivates a 36v wire that comes out of the controller for the lights, so you need 36v lights.

The battery case is non-standard, so will be difficult to find and replace, although there will probably be similar sized alternatives to swap the insides if you need a new one.

There will be nice thick wires between the battery and controller that you can tap into for a 36v supply to any other electrics.

Can we see some photos of the bike?

Aaaah I see, so the controller is hidign under the black plastic cowl at the front of the battery slider tray (on the bike) - I will get the screqwdrivers out later and have a look and grab photos.

Regarding the bike, its awesome, I do everythign on it, beach, shopping, park, errands and have ordered another ten which will be arriving in 8 weeks ! shout if you want one!beach 029.jpg

Okay - I took the lid off the battery rack and hey presto - I now know where the controller lives. It appears to have two spare connectors, one single wire, one three wire. See photos - havent had a chance to get the meter on it yet but will try to find out what each of them do tonight. Are these photos ltellign you anything? I wonder is there a block or wiring diagram available for these King Meters and also for my 'no-name' controller?bike pix 009.jpgbike pix 008.jpgbike pix 006.jpgbike pix 005.jpgbike pix 004.jpg

Controllers and their wiring are more or less standard. All you have to do is take a photo of all the wires and their connectors spread out. Showing a label on a box and a birdsnest of hidden wires doesn't really help. When you provide a photo, you can ask any question about it.

For the above controller, I'm not sure what the question is. The two connectors shown are most likely high level brake connector (single yellow wire) and throttle connector, but without being able to see all the others, that's a guess. The original question was about lighting, but the LED panel connector where the wire should be is not shown.
