Help Please - Identify Battery Connector

Featured Replies

Hello all, I am planning to move my battery to a pannier position and as such need to extend the connector cable. I recently purchased an M12 4 Pin Extension cable but on receipt the actual 4 Pin Connector is too small to connect to my current cable. I have attached a very poor picture of the current connector which is approx (poor eyesight !) 12mm Diameter. Could you please advise what size / name of connector I need ?. Attached Pics are 1) the type of bottle battery I have and 2) the connector I want to extend.connector2.JPG.4cab520175b1b6fb7ac10beafc7c52db.JPGbikeconnector1.jpg.bc32928f71b00099635d5768467fbf38.jpgAlso if anyone could advise of a company / linky to a firm that makes up these cables ?. Thanks for looking

Hopefully someone will come along with a direct answer to your question.

In the absence of finding a suitable extension cable, you (or someone else) could cut the existing cable and splice in a suitable length and grade of cable between the two cut ends.

Hard to tell from the photos, it could be THIS, (there's a pdf with dimensions you could check if they match yours).

If you go down the splicing in route you can buy inline solder connectors which heatshrink, and you should stagger the joints so they don't line up together to keep the cable less bulky in one place.

Must admit hadn't thought of making my own :-). Cheers

Just had a look at the CPC page and that looks like the connector . At least I can start mooching around now to find the Male version connector for the other end and some cable to possibly make up my own cable. Thank You very much.
