  1. Thanks for the reply, the Bickerton is much reduced and looking at prices on ebay anything decent (Brompton) is almost double the price of the Bickerton. I'll start a thread as I have lots of questions about conversion generally.
  2. Hard to tell from the photos, it could be THIS, (there's a pdf with dimensions you could check if they match yours). If you go down the splicing in route you can buy inline solder connectors which heatshrink, and you should stagger the joints so they don't line up together to keep the cable less bulky in one place.
  3. Hello to all. I'm still undecided on which way to go - I'm looking to end up with a folding ebike, I may buy a non electric folder and convert it or buy a ready made one. I'm a bit underpowered, I can't lift very heavy stuff so weight and being able to take it on public transport is important, I'm not particularly looking for acceleration or performance. I've just seen a very reasonably priced fairly light Bickerton Junction 1707 but it has a front dynamo, it seems a shame to lose that. Is a rear motor a possibility on those? Brompton would be ideal but not sure I can stretch to the £££
