Help with project please

hi all i'm about to start a strange project. i recently bought a bart bike (i believe) and don't like it. im planing to remove the electric kit and put it onto a carrea. ive look over it and have worked out most of what i need to do, though it would be nice to have a wiring layout but i cant get one.
my main quest is ive been informed that the crank and crank sensor is specially made for a bart bike and cant be put on another bike. ive look at the crank and it looks quite standard, and following the wire it looks like the censer in inside the crank. is this gonning to cause issues and can i change the censor to a diffrent one.

also any other warnings and advisae would be good thanks

A bart bike, the motor, the handlebar controls, the crank sensor. We haven't a clue what you have, so how can we help you?

then find it out for yourself. Take a picture of the magnet ring and the pedal sensor of your e-bike. If it will look a bit like this:

that's a typical pedal sensor. You undo the bottom bracket, the sensor has a brass ring like a collar that secures the sensor to the BB assembly.

Let's start from the beginning. You told us you had a bart bike, which I've never heard of. You provided a link to a Lindsey West LW432 and a non-functioning link to a Batribike manual. Where does the Lindsey West fit into your plan?

Get your phone and go and take some photos of what you have, then post them here, otherwise I'm out of this one. Make sure that the photos show enough detail of what you have.

Already, there's pages of writing that I and others have had to do, and still, you have no help and we haven't a clue how to help you

hi again, the bike is supplied by Lindsey West but is built i believe by bartbikes. i can take picture for you no problem, but i would need to no what details you want to see. the crank sensor is inside the crank (so till its removed cant be pictured) theirs a hole in the bottom of the frame under the crank where the wire disappears into it. if i do pictures of the rear hub and conrol device will that help.

then your bike has a torque sensor similar to this:

Drill a hole about 10mm wide into the BB shell to let the cable out.

yes that's what it is, thanks and t though that what i would need to do is drill a hole for it. the only issue i may have is will the sensor one fit into the new frame. but i suppose i wont figure that till i remove the cranks. and compair the 2. thanks you and i wont bother this any more still ive started and done that.

Billy, don't worry about it fitting the Carerra. The torque sensor fits standard BB, 68mm Shimano UN26 or similar.

brilliant news that was the only bit that worried me. ive already spoke to a bike shop about changing the rear hub into the Carerra wheel so everything matches. i think the hardest job will be getting the wiring out of the frame. but as ive built 15 custom trikes that doesn't phase me.

I totally agree with Billy. Sell the bike, test ride other potential bikes, buy the one you like. There are so many pitfalls in installing the existing components on another bike, unless you are totally confident in your mechanical and electrical skills.

The Carrera Crossfire-E has an in frame mount battery, so will have a different handling experience to your proposed component swap onto another bike. Your Batribike has the battery at the rear.

You could sell the Batribike at a loss and buy a Carrera Crossfire-E using Halford's finance. See if your local Halfords have one for a test ride.
