Hi All,
Threatening to build a bike for years so took the plunge.
Bought a used Carrera Kraken and a 1000w 48v rear hub motor off ebay.
Plan to use it on forest paths mainly to see how it goes.
I have a few 5000mha lipo's that I use for flying model hexacopters so will
probably hook a few together for power at first.
Didn't get the motor yet so I will probably have heaps of questions.
Cheers
Charlie.

Nearly every time someone gets a kit like that, they're on here or Endless Sphere saying that they can't get the motor to run, so I hope I can save you some trouble. look out for the ignition wire on the controller, which is often called "Key-lock" and sometimes called "anti-theft" or anything like that. Some of them are two wires that have to be joined (normally with a switch), or sometimes a single red or orange wire that has to be connected to the battery positive.

Cool, thanks for that. Will look out for that. Could save me some time.
