I've had an e bike I converted myself a few years ago, it's a Giant expression LX with a golden motor 250W 36v front drive kit. It is serving me well getting me up the hill out of my village and on to work most days. I've had a few niggles with the battery switch and connectors but it is basically really good.
I now have a problem that is beyond me but I'll post a separate thread in the technical forum about that.
