Hi everybody, I cycled like a madman since having an workplace accident at 40, I had to do a non-impact sport to regain fitness and took to cycling like a duck to water. I'm now 52 and have changed jobs, I used to cycle along the Aire Valley to work, 16 miles each way and it was easy peasy but my new workplace is only 7 miles away, but that is the north to the south of Bradford and that might as well be trans-Alps!
I am arriving a sweaty mess and the changing/washing facilities are poor, I've been thinking about an electric bike since I started there 6 months ago. However, I don't know anything about them, nor know anybody with one, so I bought one anyway, a non-working one, now I'm in a mess. See my post in Electric bikes!
I do like design, I'll happily take that over function but my LBS's are full of things that look like Mary Poppins bikes with a big battery pack attached, not for me. I am hoping to find some coolio looking bikes on this forum.
