Holiday season bike rides

I will be going on plenty of bike rides over the Christmas break. It will be great to start using my new bike.

I will be looking at new cycle routes in and around Shropshire.

Has anyone else on here got any rides planned, and if so where.

Each year during the Christmas holidays, I try to organise a bike ride, usually for up to ten people. It is a ride for people who normally only cycle very short distances. Some of these people may have bought or been given new bikes for Christmas. We have had no ebikes yet, but they would be welcome. We had 8 riders last year. We usually ride about 10 or 12 miles, on quiet back roads or paths. The idea is to show people that group rides are fun. The pace is that of the slowest rider, and no one is left behind.

I will be taking the Brommie to my family's Christmas gathering at a hotel in Southport.

If, I mean when, I tire of the company, I shall go for a ride along the seafront, or estuary front, or whatever the locals call it.

neptune, that must be great to have a few people out riding together. Its good that you only go as fast as the slowest rider also.

RobF that I am sure will be really nice going along the seafront. I want to go on some of my favorite journeys as well as some new ones.
