Increasing Power

I was just wondering...

In physics, there's this equation:

Power = current X voltage

That would mean that all one has to do is to get a stronger battery in order to increase the bikes wattage or power.

Is this correct thinking?

What are my limitations here?

Nope, sorry. You have a controller that sits between battery and motor, it's job is to control the amount of power and speed of the motor. The controller will be rated for a certain power output it will limit the amount of power the motor will produce using Pulse Width Modulation of the input voltage and current. If you need more power you need a controller rated to allow more.
