Inside a low end suspension fork?

I've got a bog standard, low end, Suntour SR-XCT 80mm fork on my bike.

I know it uses springs to absorb the road shocks, but does this kind of unit contain oil too, or is that feature on high end units only?

That'll be why they only feel slightly better than the Cyclamatic suspension then lol
