Internal Frame battery theft

Hi. I would be interested to know if anyone with an INTERNAL frame battery has had it stolen (in UK) or has ever heard of anyone getting it stolen? With a key locking mechanism are they pretty much theft proof.? Looking at Engwe fat tyre bikes with this kind of in-frame battery...

I wouldn't put it past them - I once found a thief taking out the AAA batteries from my bike light. I shouted and he ran off with my light and batteries, perhaps if I'd walked out a bit later he'd have left my light?
