Boardman? I have a Boardman Road Comp.. Nice bike and when I bought it 3 years ago i could ride it .... Well shal we say..... satisfactorily (spell checker not working cos I cant believe I got that one right) 3 years on I am struggling a bit on the hills, so looking at reducing the gearing (compact double so not many sensible options) or...... I cant see a hub drive and battery rack on this so looking for something like the Copenhagen wheel.. which is pricey and probably unavailable.......
Answers on the back of a cig packet please.....

Depends how much effort you want to put in. I went for a powered hub wheel but for your bike a powered crank drive might be better. Only issue is the added wear on the the chain - I'm running tiagra 10 speed so already have a narrow chain so went hub instead.
Bafang BBS 02 would be a good option IMO

Boardman Road Comp + BBS01 18A and 9AH bottle battery - a lot of torque for not a lot of weight. @kudosdave: that'll give the BPM bikes a run for the money!
Woosh have BBS01 18A @ 349 http://wooshbikes.co.uk/?cdkit

Trex, a couple of questions if I may since you seem to have Woosh's ear, how come there is a 200 gram higher weight on the 18a on Woosh? I was under the impression the 250w and 350w were the same unit with a current change.
If the 18a one is marked 350w as they appear to else where, how come Woosh don't mention it's not legal to use in public?
If it is marked as 250w I may have to see if Woosh will ship :)

Nobody @ Woosh seems to know much about it other than it's marked 36V 18A 350W and weighs 3.9kgs and also comes with a thumb throttle.
