Has anybody any idea where I could get a replacement key for the battery lock bracket for the above bike.
The key replacement service AXA are unable to assist presumably because of the age of the bike which was only used for a few months in 2009.
I am trying to get the cycle back on the road and the battery lock key is mislaid.
Has anybody any idea of the best way to remove the current lock if a key is unavailable or, how to remove and replace the entires lock bracket and replace with a new one incorporating a lock if they are available.
Thank you.

Phone 50Cycles. There's a chance they can get your a direct replacement or at least give you some more experienced advice.

Best of luck

I got a duplicate key from the AXA site. They’ve been selling those frame locks for a very long time so it’s a bit surprising that the key number isn’t recognised since the battery key is the same as the frame lock key where fitted. I have a frame lock on mine and before I realised I could get one from AXA I tried several key cutting services, and the blanks for those keys seem to be unavailable. One place tried pretty hard and contacted a couple of suppliers too.

50 Cycles will probably sell you a new lock if provided with proof of ownership.
