I am off to France at the beginning of next month with my Agattu and the better half's Dover strapped to the roof.
Has anyone purchased one of these?

Battery Terminal Cover

Are they worth having or are they needed at all, obviously there will be no batteries attached during the travel and i though they would keep any rain or muck out.

Hi BigEd

I use the terminal cover when the Kalkhoff is on the rack on the back of my VW camper. Definitely keeps the muck and much of the rain off the terminals.

I believe it is worthwhile, as the terminals are well protected when the battery is in place, but they receive an exceptional amount of s**t when exposed on the back of a vehicle.

Go for it.

Thanks James

No doubt if it rains on the journey (600 or so miles) then they may well be worth while. I just wanted the opinion of someone who had used them.

Well i tried to get the cover (oh how i wish 50cycles had some competition)

50cycles site said/says in stock for next day delivery, ordered early last week, should really have been here Thursday, Friday at the latest.
Anyway rang them Tuesday, number from invoice, and was told to ring a different number? no transfer? Rang other number and was told they would get back to us.They didn't bother.
Rang them Wednesday, they apologised and said would sort, we pointed out time was pressing because we go holiday soon, they said they would ring us later. They didn't bother.
Rang them again today, they don't have stock and can't get a reply from Germany?
Cancelled the order, no chance before we go away.

This is not the first time I've been unimpressed by 50cycles

This is such bad business sense and gains a bad reputation quickly if not attended to. Not calling back is unforgivable, even if only to say they can't get what you want.

But to say something is in stock for delivery when it is not - and then when it is not, not to phone and tell you....it's inexplicable.

I know e-bike dealers are small businesses but these are the sort of ways in which small business are meant to be more customer sensitive than big ones.
