I was just browsing the Kona website looking at their all-mountain bikes when I noticed this

"New for 2011, we introduce our first foray into electric assist bikes: the Electric Ute, Token and Ticket. Designed to make urban cycling more effortless via rechargeable, battery power assist drives, Kona jumps into the future of designing and building bikes for a revolutionary tomorrow."

Kona SimpliCITY

They are all 24v 8FUN pedelecs with TMM only and Samsung batteries. The Token has an RRP of just under £1500 which can be picked up for about £1200. Unfortunately there seems to be the usual prevalence of Zoom, Kalloy, Suntour, Tektro low end parts apart from the Ute which is noticeably better speced and carries an £1800 price tag. I like the double battery in series setup as seen here.

Seems strange they've opted for 24V though.
