IMG_0252.jpg From one of our customers yesterday, this bike seems to eat hills with ease!

'So I took it out for a test spin round the block and to see how it did with the hill. Hill? What hill? Where? said the bike, as it got to the top, without my having to get too much out of breath.

What is a real surprise is the way the motor cuts out when climbing an incline as it hits the 15mph limit. It is powerful. Show it a hill, and it just romps up. I'm not too fussed that it has less pulling power on the flat and downhill - that's not where I need the help.

The front shocks do a great job with the atrocious state of the roads, and the brakes are plenty powerful enough to control it down the hills.

Its a bike that just wants to be ridden - my 'spin round the block' turned into a 6 mile ride: riding it is addictive. Its just huge fun.

And that's before I change the tyres to road tyres: the best is yet to come.

Excellent.

That's nothing, my BBS02 eats mountains :p

No, joking aside, that's one good looking bike, and would be on my list if I were after a ready made bike ;)

The Schwalbe Road Cruiser tyres are not ideal for a heavy hub motored ebike.

Front ought to be OK, but something from Schwalbe's ebike ready range would be better.

I doubt the owner will want to junk a new set of tyres, but he should keep an eye on the sidewalls for cracks.

Hah! I think my BBS02 would eat cliff faces tbh, amazing torque!!

Also have a 250w rear hub bike, 48v 11aH, difference between the two is night and day.
