Ok, I have my eager mitts on a nice shiny Kudos Typhoon. As is usual up here the weather has turned back to Winter and this morning when I woke up there was a 20mph wind blowing. So, I went out anyway. :) Only for a few miles as the wind decided to bring the rain with it.

First thing to say, it looks quite good and feels lighter than my Kudos Tourer.

Anyway, out on the road. Last night I had decided to test it up a hill outside my village and was determined not to let the wind stop me. Well it climbed the hill, it climbed it very well. A couple of mph faster than the Tourer but with less effort from me. This bike can climb hills.

On the flat into the wind with just the motor doing the work it was hitting 14mph which wasn't too shabby considering the strength of the wind.

One thing which caught me out, actually surprised me, was: On a slope where the wind wasn't blowing the motor cut out as I passed the cut out speed. What surprised me was the fact I was going more than 15 mph up a slight incline. Maybe I'm getting fitter but I think it showed me how easy the Typhoon is to pedal fast.

It feels easier than the Tourer to pedal without power but it's not a fair test today as the wind was strong.
Over the next couple of weeks I'll give it a proper test and report back.
