Just a quick question.

Before Christmas I bought a Little Frog 36V 10amp battery from BMS. I have just noticed that it says 24V 10amp on the underside of the casing. However, when I put a voltmeter across the terminals I get a reading of about 38V.

Am I right in assuming that they have but a 36V battery in a 24V case? It seems to perform ok although I have nothing to benchmark it against.

Check the voltage of your charger...
If its 42v its a 36v lithium ion battery.

Thanks for replies...sounds like it is 36V in a 24V shell.

It shows 38V approx fully charged and the charger is 42V

Just did 25 miles today with no problems still showing half charge so am not unhappy with it.

It is not a problem.
The case was initially made for 24v 10aH operation and the original molding was stamped up accordingly.
My replacement battery bought late last year is 24v 15aH and has the same markings as yours.

Good info, thanks. I'm happy that it is a 36V.......had not noticed the 24V markings previousely so just wanted to clarify what I have been sold.
