hi all whilst chatting to a local cycle mechanic , he knowing I had ebikes mentioned a new dealer in Watford selling haibike/whisper.
the new vendor is in Watford market and called www.ebike.town
so of I went for a peruse, first time I have seen haibikes in the flesh, found them appealing an d had a very long chat with with the vendor .
yesterday at another lbs a m8 had recently purchased orbea shimano steps e6000, but mentioned he noticed another emtb but was 3k +
there is a local shortish hill I struggle on most times I get almost to the top and have to stop and would be one of my tests for an ebike, the owner of the lbs showed me a video of him on the marida emtb going up a steep slope and said I could have a demo of said ebike.
bike was merida big trail emtb 2.8" tyres shimano steps e800 500w battery.
on local tarmac road went up a steepish bit fairly easily in quite a high gear boost mode/then tried above hill got up there certainly easier quicker than my other not so powerfull bikes.
returned to shop then did same route on my Carrera with tdz cd moter in turbo it certainly was not as easy.
