Looking for a part ( screw )

Hi,

My padded vador cycle seat screw is worn so I'm not able to tighten properly which I think it is for the seat adjustment. I have no idea of the size, but it uses a allen key size crv6 whatever that means. Can anyone give me an idea where to buy one?

Do you mean the screw which tightens the seat post into the frame, or one mounting the saddle to the post?

If the former, I couldn't locate one, and had to re-use the rusted original, with new nuts!

First of all Phil it is a basic seat suspension post and I can only locate one main screw which is the one that mounts the saddle to the post. Does that help?

A different part to the one I was thinking of then. Could you post a photo of the screw? That might help someone to identify it for you.

Phil you are asking the impossible now, I need to pop out tomorrow and I will stop at my local bike shop.

Do you mean bolt ? Not seen many screws on a bike.

They are all usually M5 or M6 thread, then just get the length you require.

Is it this screw, looks like a standard allen screw probably 6,8 or 10 mm thread, (info only)- a set screw has a full length thread a bolt is not threaded all the way to the head.

That one is the top of the seatpost? Easier to swap the seatpost than look for a specific screw?
