image.jpeg Hi everyone,

This site is amazing! I wish I have seem it when I have purchased my Izip Skyline 5 years ago to give me more understanding and guidance. I absolutely love my bike and use it every single day to commute to work. My battery (24V/36V 5ah Li-ion) is coming the the end of life - at least I think that is the problem. When I ride the battery keeps dropping by half and the motor keeps turning on and off and then for a minute or so it works fine. I think it may be due to not having enough power.
Please can anyone advise me on what to do - to redo the battery or purchase a new one? If so where can I buy one? Could I go for one with more power and longer lasting someone like 36v 10ah? I'm not sure whether it is compatible with the motor of if it matters. I really appreciate all your help! Best wishes. Nela

Sw is correct, contact Insat who specialise in recelling batteries. They can make you a better one than your old one, more range etc.

it depends what cells you build the batt from some have more power than others and thus costs more per cell.

they can be as little as 2 quid each or 15 quid depending on make and power output.

cheap ones tend to get hot fast under load and not last that long which is not a good idea for a ebike batt.

my bosch batt has 2 year warranty but a 500w cost 700 quid.

Waw! That was the price of my whole bike! Thanks for explaining it. So lithium batteries are not too good then. What are the other ones?
