Loss of power all of a sudden.

On my journey back home today after a great ride, I lost power. Realizing how hard it was getting home with lots of hills was hard work for me.

When I got home I checked all I could think of. I swapped throttles, tried another wheel and that didn't make a difference.

I had 2 Volts registering on my meter when I measured the plus on my throttle wire.

Checked for dry joints, but all seemed ok.

I will have to try another controller, but because I have got wires soldered directly onto my controller I never got chance to do this today, and didn't want to ruin my other bike.

The plug that goes between the wire from my wheel looks ok.

Am I missing something that is obvious.

It was fine for over half of my journey, and then just lost power to the motor.

The power did come on my meter, just not my throttle.

Start from the beginning. Measure the battery voltage on the battery connector. Measure it again after the main switch.

Have look in my shed. You should be able to find a spare Ku123 if you need a temporary solution.

My sudden loss of power was eventually traced to the handlebar panel

The finger was never really pointed in that direction and so everything else was tested first

Justva thought you have a spare to test (or can find one in d8veh shed ?! I'd bet my hat there is one ;)

Just had another thought. Try taking the wattmeter out of the circuit.

Hi D8veh, I have found two issues. Firstly a wire was extreemly loose on my throttle, but after sorting that out it still would not go. I changed the controller and then all was well.

I found a controller in my garage, but I owe you a throttle and the piece of wire that goes from throttle to the rear motor as mine was all soldered. Also owe you 6 tie wraps.

Thanks mate, see you soon. Hope all is well. All ok here.:)

Thanks for the other suggestions on here.
