I am the owner of a radrover fat ebike, and at 66 years old, this takes me back to the 60's and dirt bike riding. so, ok on to my post.....

How about someone coming up with an electric air pump that I can plug into the mini usb port on the battery for power. small enough to carry on the bike.

Hi sounds like a nice idea however the power levels are not suitable. The Bosch USB connector for example only allows 0.5a. And at 5v this is 2.5w max . The little compressor s in the car shops draw about 8a at 12v or around 100w.
A better suggestion might be to put a voltage reducer on the main power connector from the battery to half the voltage to 18v and to use the car shop compressor s.

While on the subject, my pet peeve is the continued use of the none Schrader type valves on particularly electric bikes . I see it as obstruction, even if they save an ounce, they are damned inconvenient
