Hi All. I know it's been asked countless times ?? but I fitted new disc pads all around yesterday on my Freego Eagle and adjusted the cables and the brakes are now brilliant but on taking it out this morning I found that the motor keeps running when I put on the brake ???? The sensor on the rear brake lever looks fine and I have tried releasing the cable but it keeps going. Any advise. Regards Steve.

I am not familiar with this bike. You say you have tried releasing the cable. Do you mean the electrical cable, or the brake cable [assuming here that the brakes are cable operated and not hydraulic]. Having fitted new pads , I would assume that the handlebar lever moves less than it used to when the brake is fully on. Remember that the lever will need to move a certain distance towards the handlebar before the brake switch can operate. If the brakes are not hydraulic, try slackening the brake cable a bit, to allow more lever movement.

Hi Neptune. Yeah its cable operated brake and I have tried slackening the cable so the lever moves a lot more but no luck & yes I ment the brake cable not an electric cable. I will take the sensor off to clean any liquid that might have got in and redo everything again but hopefully I will find the problem. And thanks Neptune. Regards Steve.
