My battery keeps dropping to 12v within a second.

I dont have a bulb however I do have another two 48v controllers one being for 500w and the other for 1000w. So I was just going to ride the bike until the error happened again then connect the 500w to the battery. However I couldn't get the bms to trip. Yesterday it happened within a minute. Today I've increased my speed to the max (28mph without load lifting the wheel up) and 20mph going up a hill lol I had gathered speed beforehand. Yet it didn't trip after 15mins. I had kept the controller removed from the battery so I thought that could be a reason however I always turn my battery off by the switch on it so that should have the same effect of removing the power leads from the controller shouldn't it?

It's a 22amp however ive set the max power draw to 5 out if 10 in the lcd. It still reaches 650watt max which can be continuous while hill claiming.

Yep that's about what I get hill climbing wattage wise @16-17a - I had a problem with a 22a(36/48) controller where by the LVC would cut out from a voltage sag from 37v - I was fine till 37v - no other controller did this, at first I assumed my 36v batteries where knackered, I never tired it on the 48v battery as it hadn't arrived as of then - however I believe another forum member got it and it worked well.

Maybe time to try sinewave. The one I got recently arrived within 3 weeks, fully recommend the Aliexpress seller

The controller needs about 4w even on standby. That could be enough to trip your BMS if it's faulty. You need to text tour BMS with an alternative load of some sort. Have you got any 36v lights?
Ill find a bulb . Thanks for this idea vfr400

Which one did you buy?

Darn it - looks like I got one the last 17a Julet Sine controllers. There is lots to choose from they still do the 14a julet Sine, I have a different branded one in black, on 48v 14a is just enough IMO however it is nice to have that little wiggle room on the 17a. I took lots of screen grabs of my selection in case I got a square or non-julet, however all went well very fast shipping about 2 weeks maybe 3. Fully recommend the seller.

There is more then one AliExp shop/vendor that sells KT controllers as well as other third party sellers.

I did say when I first wanted one, three years ago... Not to mention I could find 14a and 22a but rarely 15/17 and defo not sinewave in fact a quick look at some of those links I would be hard pressed to say without a shadow of a doubt the 15 or 17 is sine. Bollfit & okfeet look like the are the same outfit and yes they appear to be sine.

I've just done 10 miles in 40 minutes with no cut outs by changing c5 from 04 to 10. So max power. I get 900 odd watt on pas5 or throttle and 520w ar pas4. The controller and motor just stayed warm. Im going to stick to the max of pas4 as if I need a boost I can use the throttle. Hopefully this is the fix. Ill let you know further on. Thank you again all for your help and support. You're all superb. This was using my old controller.

P5 is for the battery bar damping on the screen, it doesn't affect current or power delivery.
