I need a better disc brake for my Tonaro.
The problem is that the studs do not face the disc but face backwards.
Any recommendations?

The type of caliper you need is "post mount" and are very common from nearly all manufacturers. Here's some to choose from. Get a hydraulic one. You don't need the switch on the front one. Just leave the rear brake as it is. I've never found any hydraulic brake that wasn't any good - cheap or expensive.

I can recommend avid bb7. Cable operated it is plenty powerful enough for my 15 stones on steep hills. Costs around £50 and comes in a kit with disc and brackets for both types of mount I think.
