Hi,
Sorry for my ignorance...I have just bought a Windsor Powacycle which arrived yesterday. I have been charging the battery for about 12 hours, the small guide that came with the bike says that when fully charged the LED light turns green. But when I started charging and 12+ hours later, all 3 lights empty - blank - full are all lit up red, and still are. DOes that mean it's not charged fully yet, will they all really turn green!?

I have been charging the battery with the key in the ignition and battery turned on - that was the only way I could get any lights to come on - is that the correct procedure? The leaflet that came with the bike was very basic.

Am I doing this right? I would have thought that over 12 hours later the battery would have been charged - and lights turned to green? Maybe it is charged - I haven't yet tried it in the bike itself.

Any advice would be great, thanks!

I don't have a Windsor Powacycle but it's not normal practice to have to turn the key "on" to charge an ebike battery (sounds odd). Searching on the Internet shows that the battery should be charged in 4 to 6 hours, so something seems wrong.
Logically, my advice would be to put a voltage meter on the battery (if you have one) to see what’s in it. Internet says Windsor Powacycle is 26v, so it should be above that if charged. I would also put the battery in the bike to double check. If dead then I would get on to the suppliers and tell them something is wrong, either with the battery or charger. I have a sneaky feeling it could be the charger as I would have thought the supplier would ensure the battery was ok when shipped, a faulty charger may possibly slip past quality control or get damaged on route (delicate).

the LED which changes colour is on the charger, not the battery assembly.

Try this

1. remove the battery from the bike and turn it off at the keyswitch
2. plug in the small circular charger plug
3. place the charger in a position where you can see the LED (it is hard to notice when not switched on, but if its like my Salisbury charger one side is black and the other has a white label on it. You want the side which is black)
4. connect the mains to the charger and plug it in
5. the LED should turn on as green for a couple of seconds, you will hear an audible "click" and the LED turns red. This means the battery is charging.
7. When it turns green again the charge process is complete.
