Thanks John. I think it was ElephantsGerald now I think it through.
All the best David
Hi David,
Actually I don't design web sites, but I know some people who do (unfortunately they're not based in your part of the world though).
What I do is make web sites work (I'm a software developer), so once someone has designed the graphics, I come along and wire up the navigation, then write and hook up the underlying software that drives the site (e.g. content management, quotations, catalogues, shopping baskets, payment processing, orders, order processing, invoicing, stock management, accounting, etc., etc.).
Probably not quite what you're looking for, but I'm happy to chat.
I think in the past you were wanting to have more direct control over your web site, and I recommended that you look at some (free) Content Management software called
Joomla. I'd still recommend you check this out as its very good.
A Joomla site that I set up as a freebie for my childrens school can be found at
The Hereford Waldorf School. The look and feel isn't much to write home about, but you can get an idea of the type of thing Joomla lets you do (e.g. news, blogs, calendar, links, downloads, etc.). The
Joomla web site has links that can take you to other sites with more a interesting look; you can pretty much make it look however you like.
I hope this helps.
Regards,
Elephants
