Hi....I've just taken delivery of the latest Woosh Sirocco CD.

Unfortunately the hand grips are solid plastic, reminiscent of the old Wisper hand grips.
...with the Wisper the grips were loose, easily removed and replaced.
....these appear to be fixed solid.
I think these grips are a no no for anyone, but for me with arthritis in my hands they are impossible....how do I remove them ?

Is the grip on the left hand (throttle side), in 2 separate pieces...this'd be easy, or is the grip and throttle one piece...not so easy. :) ....suggestions please.

...also, can anyone tell me how to set the correct time on the "King-Meter control module"

...other than this, the Sirocco CD appears excellent...dead chuffed so far :)

....thanks....Mike

Grips come off easily if you pull them from the inboard end. Normally you have a brake lever and/or gear-changer. I loosen the one nearer the grip and lock the other. I place a screwdriver between the two and lever them apart so that the loose one pushes off the grip about half a centimeter. Then I reposition the locked inner one and repeat. After a few goes the grip is loose enough to pull off from the inboard end. If you only have a brake and no gear-changer, you can lever directly on the grip.

If you don't want to use the grips again, you can cut them off with a Stanley knife.

IMHO full-width throttles are unsuitable for ebikes. If I had a Sirocco CD, I'd replace it with a thumb throttle, but for those with less technical expertise, use Flecc's idea: Unscrew the throttle clamp screw; slide off the throttle; cut it down to about 2" long with a hacksaw; get a decent grip and cut it to the size of the bit of throttle you cut off; assemble the cut down throttle and half grip; remove the other grip and replace it with a decent one (the partner to the one you cut down). You're aiming at something that looks like this:
Half Twist Throttle - BMSBATTERY

Another trick is to put some Mentholated alcohol down the grips as it makes them slippery against steel.
In the past with really tight ones I have used a screwdriver to lift the end to get some metho in, once there is a layer of it the grips almost fall off, works well to put tight grips on as well, as soon as the metho evaporates the grips stop moving.
