Forgive me - I am new to these and I have nver ridden an electric bike!

I'm going to buy an Alien Kit (I think) - I have a hybrid and a cheapish montain bike as donors so I can't really justify a whole bike.

Q1) I'm veering towards the Hybrid (700c wheels) for my conversion - is this wise?

Q2) I'm thinking of the 250W 36v kit - will this carry a 19 stone fatty the 3 miles to the railway station and up the steepish hill on the way?

Q3) I see there is a 48v kit but it is only offered with lead acid batteries - is it worth considering? Can you run a 48v on LiIon batts?

Q4) I have a cycle locker at the station (3 year waiting list!) will storing the bike on it's rear wheel casue issues with batteries?

Thank you in advance,

:D

Either would be fine.
Q2) I'm thinking of the 250W 36v kit - will this carry a 19 stone fatty the 3 miles to the railway station and up the steepish hill on the way?
yes, but you will have to pedal as well up a steep hill
Q3) I see there is a 48v kit but it is only offered with lead acid batteries - is it worth considering? Can you run a 48v on LiIon batts?
Yes, controllers/motors don't mind where the volts are coming from. Different batteries require different chargers though.
Q4) I have a cycle locker at the station (3 year waiting list!) will storing the bike on it's rear wheel casue issues with batteries?
Batteries are happy any way up.

Beware the 48V kit is not road legal, is your MTB 700c or 26" wheel just making sure you get the right size...and these kits are Rim or V brake only...not disc compatible.
