Comes to something when i have to get on my walking machine to get 15 mins a day of just out of breath exercise:D Actually it`s a lot better because you can time it exactly and set the same pace everytime.

"So I saw the Doctor today ( a lady) she said" go behind the screen and get undressed" No problem so far, then I notice no hooks for my clothes so I call out "Doctor! where shall I put my clothes?" and she replies " Over here with mine":D

Glad you are able to get regular consistant exercise, how do feel have you noticed better breathing since giving up the ciggies?

As for the second part

Well, I`ve noticed the lack of coughing when I put my head on the pillow at night. The big problem now is giving up the lolly sweets:D

I did start with patches when I came out of hospital but my arms and thighs started to look like a patchwork quilt from reactions. the doc gave me an inhaler thingy but the taste of the nicotene is nasty:D I`ve been going cold turkey for a few days now and coping OK (it helps when you have had a close call) Can`t say if not smoking has helped with breathlessness yet as I`m just watching and listening to my heartbeat:eek: but the house and car smell lovely and clean.

The reason for the walking machine is being able to totally measure 15 mins of a given exercise once a day (if you can just about talk when you are walking briskly then thats the amount I need to be doing)

BTW Anne and I have been out and about twice this week. We load two of our bikes on the van and ride to an area with plenty of country lanes with circular return routes. We then mark the routes on a ordnance map with special remarks. Yesterdays run out saw us return to the van once for a pleasant mid morning cuppa and again for lunch whilst covering 3 very pleasant routes of interest that criss crossed where we parked. Riding around the same routes is OK but not as interesting as new discoveries.

Eek wouldn't like listening to my heart!

The important thing is you are still with us and getting out and about even if there are restrictions to where and what you can do. I'm glad you are both getting out and about.

We will hopefully be pootling around Mabelthorpe next week :D

I don't get enough exercise on my Ebike either, which is why I bought the trike. If I was going to cycle to work twice a week with no motor then I sure wanted it to be comfortable and fun - trike.

I ride it 2 to 3 times a week. If it's hard going I know I can enjoy electric the next day. I've lost 6kg since riding it :D About 13lb, that's nearly a stone

Keep plugging away.

Best regards.

Vikki.
