Opinions on Powabyke X24

The Powabyke X-bykes are great as short range utility ebikes, and they ride without the motor well enough to serve occasionaly as rather heavy unassisted bikes.

I ride an X6 and that has a wide enough range of gears for me, I think you would only need the additional gears of the X24 if you want to pedal over 25mph, or you want to climb hills unassisted.

I also have the mk2 x-6 byke and I agree with patrick. Unless you really need the 24 gears why have them or pay for them. I have a 24 speed dawes bike, not electric, but certainly do not use all the gears.

I am looking at one for my wife, she really will not cycle too far so they look ideal. They have been round long enough now to assure people they have a decent enough product or they would be out the game. I think if you treat it as a short range hack then you will be happy.
