Yes folks, Mr. Dangerous is back again with his home made batteries.

This time he's telling us that you don't need a charger, just zap them with a car battery or use an electric welder

There is some truth to this actually.

As a nicad ages, dendrites can form bridging the positive and negative terminals, creating an internal short. A quick zap from a high(er) voltage source can help burn off these internal shorts and therefore help restore the cell.
