Can anyone advise or give some electrical info'. Just bought a Pendleton Somerby 2017 and recovered the battery, it's at 40v and on board battery gauge is all green.
When i put battery into bike there is no display, nothing at all. I looked at the plug connectors and they all seem to be fully in.
Any ideas where to start? any info' appreciated.

Is/was the 40v at the discharge terminal or taken from the cell pack it self ?

the control panel takes its power directly from the battery connection to the controller, so if it doesn't switch on or at least flash, there's a connection issue between the battery and the controller. Open up the compartment where the controller is and measure the voltage arriving at the controller, which is probably zero. work back from there to find the interruption.
