Well I finally have my Nova , but theres wee problem ( Yan ) the owner o Downtube doesnt seem sure whether the valve on the tires are schrader or presta, so I have had to buy an adapter .

The other problem is that I need pump that will take the stress off my joints and ( ideally ) allow me to carry it with me.

As most pumps are hand or foot pumps , I was hoping there might be an electric one I could use rather than those temporary CO2 cannisters that dont keep the gas in.

Does any one have recommendations on any that might do something like this ?

To do it lightly, is the thing.
All of the portable start/pump car-related ones are far too heavy, but the small compressors can be found on their own, and use a 12V feed from your battery pack.
Amazon.co.uk: 12v compressor
The problem with most of them is the quality - some of them are utter rubbish, but all you can do is go by the user reports.

thanks , there was one Im trying to remember the name of that had cord like a landmower you could pull , looked an interesting variation on the manual pump , but I doubt it would make much difference to me.

I have opted for Michellin foot pump as they seem to have a good write up.
