I have a Post Moderne Glide suspension post (on a Kalkhoff Tasman) and have just bought a Brooks B190 saddle. As far as I can see there is no way I can connect one to the other so it looks like I will need a new seat post.

Am I missing something, and there is a solution, or am I just unlucky with the fitting on the post?

Thanks in advance for any bright ideas.

Iain,
contact brooks direct and they should be able to help, or if you are in London search out Bicycle Workshop and speak to Ninon.

As I broke the frame on my brooks (wrong fitting not too heavy!) so based on that you could have some options mine is a B17 and I had to replace the frame (£20 ish) to fit a standard rail seat post but there is an adaptor for post mounting.

Thanks very much for your replies.

I had already been in touch with Brooks and all they could suggest was an adaptor which St John Street Cycles used to stock. However, no longer. Not sure if that was the Beezer. Easily obtained in America but not over here.

A straight suspension post it is, then.

Thanks again

Iain

I recently had to track down one of these as a present for someone.
There used to be another version, possibly from a different manufacturer, with the middle bit in plastic but neither are available in Europe. It is possible they are no longer being made since Brooks now make single rail versions of some of their sprung saddles, so when US stocks run out they would no longer be available anywhere.
