We have recently bought two second-hand Puma LPX Electric Bikes and now find that both Batteries are quite "dodgy" and do not keep running. 24V 10ah.

Does anyone know how I can source any such Batteries as everyone appears to be out of stock and I am told that they are no longer available.

As an alternative can I change to use a "Pannier" style Battery as a replacement as most of the more standard batteries will not fit into the existing frame. Is this a DIY task or does it require a lot of electrical expertise

Any help will be appreciated.

You should be able to use any 24v battery and stick it anywhere you want. You'll probably need to make an adapter lead, of course.

If you could show some photos of the front, back, top and bottom of the battery, somebody can probably recommend a direct replacement.

Here's the Powacycle one, which is probably more than what you paid for the bike. It seems really expensive considering that a few weeks ago, you could uy a whole bike with a 24v lithium battery for £249

These are amongst the cheapest batteries you can get at about £180 for one or about £330 for two including shipping and duty.:
