Raleigh Velo Cite

I'm thinking of buying a Raleigh Velo Cite. I have 2 options: a brand new 2014 model for £1,350 or a very good condition 2012 model for around £800. The main difference between the 2 seems to be the weight and range of the battery. Any advise on which I should go for would be appreciated. Thanks

I tried a 2013 Velo and was disappointed - the way the power cut in and out was very clunky.

That might be one of the improvements for 2014.

If you've tried the secondhand one and like it, fine - I won't be riding it, you will.

The bigger battery is an attraction, depending on your proposed use.

If you like the bike, you may find you want to ride further than you think you do now.
