I have a handlebar LED which shows
1)PAS level (L,M,H) ,
2)on/off switch and LED to show battery full/empty
3) a 6kph “walking button”
4) and 4 x LED to show battery full/empty
Thing is PAS is not fitted and I run the 36v system at 44.4v so the LEDs are lit up all the time. And I never use the walk button which , due to the overvolt runs at about 8kph anyway!
So the thing is pointless ! is there a way can I remove it from the system – perhaps replace with a small hidden switch under the saddle or something ?
I would like to free up some handle bar space and remove a perceived weakness from the system. I commute regardless of weather and the rain last winter got in the to the panel and killed the bike for a few weeks whilst a replacement was sourced from China
