I have a 17.5ah 48v battery which has suddenly stopped working. The pcb smells of magic smoke (see attached). I would appreciate any advice about how to ressurect the battery.

As per the thread title . if the BMS has failed it needs replacing.
Has one checked for a discharge fuse failure ?
Does one see any voltage at the output/discharge ?
Typically with the battery switch on a BMS will show residual voltage of approx. 0.5v .

What is that pcb? Where did it come from? Can you show the rest of the battery? Can you show the other side of the pcb?
