Replacing dérailleur cables. SRAM SX5 twist shifters.

Anyone had any experinence replacing the cable with these shifters. I have no clue as the manual says set the shifter to the highest gear(rear) and then feed the cable through. The advertising even suggests these are easy cable replace shifters. Three fruitless hours last night and a lot of fusing says different. Anyone got any clues as to what I maybe doing wrong or any gipson how this is done?

Hooray. I fixed it. The trick was to bend a kink in the cable before trying to thread it through and also to do in in day light rather than artificial light. The gore cables are absolutely brilliant. Can't believe how light and responsive the gear changes are now. Mind you only had one quick test ride.
