Revolution ladies bike

Just got a good deal on a Revolution ladies bike, I would like to make it electric I already have a yose kitted bike and find it brilliant so would like to stick with the said make, the only thing I can't work out is wheel size on the side of the front tire it reads 40-622 700x38c this size is all new to me I did measure across seems around 28in but would I get a motor wheel to fit. Help.

700c is the wheel size.

700c is the wheel size, and is the road bike designation for the largest commonly found wheels. The 700 is overall diameter including tyre in mm, so not exact in real life.

The 40-622 is the tyre size, 40mm wide. The 622 is the diameter of the seat of the rim where the tyre beads sit.

Off road bikes have the same 622 rim seat, but they call the wheel size 29".

700c and 28" are typically the same size in diameter 622mm , though sometimes one may see 28" 635mm .
Where they differ is the tyre width sizes , 28" are road bike size tyres so are narrow width where as 700c are hybrid size tyres and supplied in larger widths.
