scrap heaps challenging to find ebike bits

hi

i always want bike and computer components for my electric bike projects. i hate having to buy new parts because they are often over specified for my needs and the delivery cost is expensive. how can i get used computer power supply units or bike components locally? are there any scrap heaps for bikes/computers? where is bicycle and computer "heaven"? i live in banbury if anyone knows any local stuff.

one of the main recycling lobby groups in the UK is headquarted in Banbury - maybe try getting in touch and letting them know what you are doing? if they are worth their funding they should jump at the chance to help you (if not, name and shame them in the Press!)

Sorry Andy - It's just desktop and server PC supplies which I have spare. I keep quite a lot of junk electronics as I often pilfer them for components when making new things.

that would be really cool. how many do you have? i was planning to make a hyper-mega charger for the 100mile race and need 5 of them.
